GKSA is asking new coaches and co-coaches to obtain a CPIC (police background check) for our upcoming softball season (not required for assistant coaches) You can obtain a CPIC online or in person at the Kingston Police Department. GKSA will reimburse every new coach for this. To get reimbursed, simply mail your receipt to Dennis Linton (our treasurer) with your return mailing address. This will also benefit you with your children and their school. To go on a school trip you need to have a CPIC done.
We encourage all girls born in 2003-2004 to come out for the Novice Girls Select Team Tryouts. This team is being formed in addition to regular house league play. They will have one additional practice per week, some exhibition games and will attend 3 or 4 out of town tournaments. If you have a player who is looking for some higher level ball and to play at a competitive level, this is a great opportunity. Coaching staff is Jeff Moore, Kyra Funk and Chris Mackey.
